This was my first time here and it was stellar! The authentic decorations, the exceptional service, and delicious food can be found here. I will be back. Sam our waitress was so wonderful.

Really middle of the road. While the food was fresh for sure, it was fairly bland. We had brats, German potato salad, knockwurst, potato pancakes, Reuben balls, and a pretzel. I got my order to go, which I had to go there and order because the person on the phone put me on hold for over five minutes. They had three waitresses and a bartender who took my order, so not sure why they didn’t pick up the phone. The place was busy, but not that big.
I had a drink while I waited for my order. It was okay, bit watered down. The order came quickly.
Most of the food was fine, just not very flavorful or interesting The potato salad was the first offender. It was basically just huge chunks of potato (not pictured, I had eaten before taking the photo) with all of the ingredients sort of piled on. This cost $5 for this mess. A far cry from quality potato salads at places like Schmidt’s in Columbus.

Ok! The food was so good and I was so hungry that I failed to take a picture of it! We had pickle fries, pierogi, and onion rings as appetizers. I also had Fried Bologna and onion sandwich, and the schnitzel (various) was very tasty some others had in our party! Atmosphere was pleasant and inviting! Kink of old world Hofbrau haus! Our server, SAM, was wonderful! See picture!

Visited here a couple weeks ago for my father-in-law’s birthday. We had a late lunch and it was not busy at all.
For appetizers we got the pickle fries and Reuben balls. There were a lot of pickle fries. Menu says it is served with ranch but the sauce was not a regular ranch. It may have been a buffalo ranch or other spicy ranch. The pickle fries were good and we would definitely get them again but we would ask that it be served with regular ranch. The Reuben balls were nothing special and we would not order again.
The entrees took awhile to come out then everyone’s was brought out except my Hühnerschnitzel which took at least another 5 minutes if not longer to get. The portion sizes are large. It is hard to cut up meat when it is piled on top of other food so it would have been nice to have it plated separately. A couple of us did ask for another plate.
Spätzle is my favorite side dish to get at German restaurants. Sadly I thought it was a bit lacking in flavor and it had very dry and very chewy pieces mixed in.
The potatoes were very good.
The grilled chicken sandwich would have been better if served on a different sized bun. My daughter had to cut the chicken in half and stack it in order to eat it as a sandwich.
I only ate the smaller piece of my hühnerschitzel and took the larger piece home. It was very crispy but was a bit dry and chewy around the edges. I thought the gravy was on the salty side. I have been watching my sodium intake so that could be a contributing factor as to why it was salty to me.
Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. My sister-in-law got the red cabbage as a side dish. She never had red cabbage before so she has nothing to compare it to but she did not like it. She took half her jägerschnitzel for leftovers because the piece was huge. Four out of six of us had leftovers.
I would definitely come again.
One suggestion for the website: change it so the menu is easier to read. When trying to read the first page, it only stays for a few seconds then moves to the second page and then the second page stays for a few seconds and then goes to a blank screen. It makes it hard to read. I want to be able to swipe to the next page when I’m ready.

I am working out of town and we were looking for a place to carry out? I ordered the black forest burger and it was pretty damn good!! I was not expecting such a great burger as a carryout. Great job and we will definitely try it again when we are in the area. Others in the crew were very happy with their meals.
