My husband and I had dinner here before we went to a comedy show. We arrived around 5:30 on a Friday evening. The place was alive and bustling. They have a small area downstairs with a bar and outdoor patio. We had dinner upstairs, which was also very lovely. There is artwork on the walls which you could purchase if you would like. we sat at a table for two near the windows, and we were also next to this very interesting square opening that that allowed us to view the first floor. There was a lovely piece of artwork hanging from the ceiling through this viewing area. My husband ordered the Lake Erie Walleye Dinner, and I ordered the Tuscan Chicken. My husband said his food tasted great. My food was pretty good. It had entirely too much cheese on top of it for me, and it could have used a little bit more seasoning. We both had house salads, and my husband had the soup of the day which was potato and turnip soup. I tried some, and it was delicious. The portions were excellent. We also both had a glass of wine. The bartender was not skimpy on the pour either! Our server told us that everything for the most part is made in house, including the pasta and the dressings. Service was exceptional. She stopped by our table frequently enough but not too much. We live in the Detroit area, but when we return for another comedy show, I wouldn’t mind stopping at this establishment again.

Atmosphere- the atmosphere appeared to have a pretty good vibe to it. I would have liked to try and sit upstairs outside, but ended up by the kitchen which seemed like a waffle house. Mumbles and grumbles of the staff was my vibe killer.
Service- just average service. Took about 20 minutes to take our drink order and didn’t make any recommendations or try to talk to us. I feel like the waitress felt like she needed to rush, and needed for us to hurry up and pick something. Drinks and food came about 45 minutes free we arrived, and well, the service did not match the quality of restaurant they are portraying to be.
Food- ordered a drink, but the waitress forgot about them, and since we didn’t see her till the food came out, we didn’t get to enjoy them before our food.
appetizer: ordered the goat cheese balls. They were still frozen in the middle. I was very disappointed.
Meal: ordered the spaghetti and meatballs with the soup of the day. The vegetable beef soup was flavorful, but didn’t have many vegetables. And my spaghetti was a LARGE serving, and looked pretty, but I had a very large group of noodles that were stuck together. It couldn’t be eaten, and there was not enough sauce to cover all the noodles.
Overall, it was $100 for a dinner for 2. A little steep for the quality of service and food. Maybe it was a bad evening for the staff…who knows!

Came for a birthday dinner and the service was great. They gave one of their glass flowers as a gift. Very good atmosphere and the food was good.

So delicious! My fiancé and I loved everything, he ordered a smoked manhattan and I got a mock-tail, I really appreciated that they offered those. Emma our server was awesome and so attentive. I highly recommend!

Dined in on a Saturday night with my husband’s boss from out of town. We made reservations just in case since it was a Saturday evening, and our table was available immediately upon arrival. The brussel sprouts and harvest pasta were delicious! The service was wonderful. We will definitely recommend Stella’s and return.
